Welcome to the team Brent
Brent Goulding, Sales Executive
Brent has always been a natural people person, but it was while studying drama at Cumbria University that he truly discovered his knack for communication and relationship building. To use his people skills to the fullest, he made the decision of choosing a different career path: swapping the stage for the dynamic world of sales.
After gaining valuable experience in the front of house and sales departments with well-known brands like Screwfix and Howdens, Brent was ready for a new challenge and keen to find a business where he could make a real, lasting impact. That’s when he found Think Timber and became part of the team in August 2025 as a Sales Executive.
Living in Stoke-on-Trent since a teenager, Brent felt drawn toward the local, family-run ethos that Think Timber was all about. “Although I’ve been in sales all my career, working for Think Timber feels different.” Brent explains. “The business isn’t just transactional like most others; it’s a passionate partner to the industry that goes above and beyond not just to sell but to educate, constantly innovate, and always do right by its customers. That’s the kind of business I want to be part of.”
Even though he’s not been in the role for long, Brent has fully embraced the company’s mission to become a leading voice within the timber industry and is already exploring ways to evolve Think Timber’s offering. With a strong background in customer-facing roles, Brent is able to support Managing Director Gav Brown with his upcoming venture of opening a trade counter to enhance customer experience and product accessibility.
Brent continues: “Think Timber is a true family business fuelled by ethical morals, backed by a team with a fountain of knowledge. Since joining, I’ve recognised that the opinion of every individual within the business is valued, and everyone’s input is taken on board.”
When asked to sum up Think Timber in three words, Brent doesn’t hesitate: “Knowledgeable. Innovative. Proactive. Even though I’ve only been part of the business for a short while, it’s already made a lasting impression – I can’t wait for what’s to come.”
